Description
Created on May 27, 1999 by the Governing Board of the UPV, the Center for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering (CBIT) currently brings together a group of 34 researchers from four university departments and one hospital center.
The activity of the CBIT is aimed at basic and applied research on the preparation, properties, life and use of biomaterials, the development of biomaterials for specific applications, and the training of researchers and specialists in the area of biomaterials. CBIT’s activity together with its research partners is aimed at advancing the knowledge of the combined use of cells, engineering, materials and biochemical and physical factors to recover and regenerate tissues and their biological function after injury or pathology.
