Description
In 1979, the National Vocational Training Center of Palma de Mallorca was created by Royal Decree 2037/1979. Subsequently, the National Center of Professional Training of First and Second Degrees of Palma de Mallorca was put into operation in a newly built center, located in plot 14 of the Llevant industrial estate, and there the professions of Administrative and Secretary, of the professional families of administration and commercial, were implanted; the profession of Clinic, of the health professional family; the professions of Perruqueria and Esthetics, of the professional family of perruqueria and esthetics, and the professions of Printing and Composition, of the professional family of graphic arts, all belonging to the professional formation of first degree. With regard to second level vocational training, the professions of Administration, Secretarial and Computer Management, of the administration and commercial professional family, were introduced.
In 1982, the name was changed to Francesc de Borja Moll Professional Training Institute.
In recent years, the current educational offer of this institute includes the following professional families: computer science and communications (IFC), personal image (IMP), health (SAN), commerce and marketing (COM), and safety and environment (SEA).
Currently, on April 10, 2019, the Director General of Vocational Training and Teacher Training issued a favorable report on the transformation of IES Francesc de Borja Moll into an integrated vocational training center (CIFP Francesc de Borja Moll).
