Description
The CIFP Majada Marcial is located in the district of Majada Marcial, northwest of the capital of the island of Fuerteventura, Puerto del Rosario.
It is a centre dependent on the Department of Education, Culture and Sustainability of the Government of the Canary Islands, which was created in 2005 by splitting off from the IES Puerto del Rosario, under the name of IES Majada Marcial.
In 2013 it was renamed Centro Integrado de Formación Profesional Majada Marcial.
Initially, the courses corresponding to the professional families of Transport and Maintenance of Vehicles and Electricity and Electronics were introduced,
During the 2005-2006 academic year, a second phase was built to house the professional families of Computer Science and Communications, Personal Image, Administration and Management, Socio-Cultural and Community Services, Health and Installation and Maintenance.
In the 2012/13 academic year, the Commerce and Marketing professional family was introduced and in 2014/15 the Energy and Water professional family was incorporated.
The educational offer corresponding to the ten professional families extends to the implementation of fourteen intermediate and nine higher level training cycles.
It is an Integrated Vocational Training Centre that provides the teaching corresponding to regulated vocational training in the classroom and blended mode, vocational training for employment and the assessment and accreditation of professional skills acquired throughout life through work experience.
The possibility of offering all these training modalities makes the centre a reference body for vocational training at an insular and provincial level.
