Description
In the 1970/’71 school year the Industrial Technical Institute was established in Ferentino, as a detached section of the I.T.I.S. in Pontecorvo.
In the 1975/’76 school year the institute was granted autonomy, both because of the considerable development it had undergone and because it was the only one in the province to offer a specialization in Industrial Electronics.
In the 1994/1995 school year, coinciding with the reform of industrial technical institutes, the course changed its name to “Electronics and Telecommunications.”
In the 2002/2003 school year, the school considerably expanded its educational offerings with the launch of courses (of order, although called projects) of the specializations “Aeronautical construction-project Ibis” and the specialization “Electrical engineering and automation-project Sirio (Evening course).”
Since September 2010, coinciding with the comprehensive reform of upper secondary school cycles, industrial technical institutes have changed their name to technical institutes-technological sector, specializations are now called articulations or options and refer to 9 macro addresses.
Since the 2014/2015 school year, our school has further expanded its educational offerings by establishing the Energy articulation, pertaining to the Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy address.
Today, the State Industrial Technical Institute “M.O.V.M. don Giuseppe Morosini” has a modern headquarters; the recently constructed building is located in a fairly convenient location and easily accessible by public transportation. The facility has a well-stocked library, a well-equipped gymnasium and multipurpose fields located outside. The premises are functional and the adequately equipped laboratories are all networked with Internet access.
